Description
The 2024 Premium Cask programme produced multiple single cask releases together for distribution across European markets. Cask 2008/023 sits in the very low numbered casks of the 2008 production year, identifying it as one of the first fillings of that year's production calendar. Bottled at fifteen years old in 2024 alongside the 2007 sister cask through the Premium Cask format.
Spirit was distilled at Lochranza in early 2008 and matured fifteen years in a single ex Bourbon American oak cask. Bottled in 2024 at the natural cask strength of 55.9% without chill filtration and without added colour, with the 246 bottle outturn reflecting the working yield of the single cask.
Fifteen years of ex Bourbon maturation produces well integrated cask and spirit layering, with vanillin, whisky lactones and the developing oxidative compounds from American oak well established against the underlying Arran spirit signature. The 55.9% cask strength preserves the full lipid fraction and the textural weight of the unfiltered spirit at the natural ABV of the cask.
