Arran 8 Years Old 2015 (Authentic Collection)

Cadenhead's Authentic Collection bottlings include both global releases and market specific casks produced for individual European territories. This Arran 8 Year Old was bottled at 56.3% with an outturn of 228 bottles for the Netherlands market, drawing on 2015 distilled spirit from Lochranza. The smaller bottle count reflects the typical size of a single cask hogshead outturn after eight years of cask evaporation, which Authentic Collection presents in full at natural strength.

Spirit was matured at Lochranza for eight years in ex Bourbon casks before transfer to Cadenhead's in Campbeltown for bottling. Bottled at the natural cask strength of 56.3% without chill filtration and without added colour, with the 228 bottle outturn covering the working volume of the single hogshead.

Eight years of ex Bourbon maturation produces a clean cask underlay with vanillin and developing whisky lactones layered against the underlying Arran spirit signature. At full cask strength of 56.3% the fatty acid ester load remains entirely intact, delivering the textural fullness that lower strength bottlings cannot match. Flavour profile: fragrant, fresh fruit, green house, honey, oily.
