Description
The 2025 LMDW Arran Private Cask programme released multiple casks together, with this 2014 vintage 10 Year Old sitting alongside the 2015 vintage SC285517 as a paired release through the French specialist retail network. Cask 2014/2784 was filled in mid 2014 and matured ten years before bottling in 2025. The 233 bottle outturn reflects the working yield of the single cask, slightly higher than the 9 year sister cask's 170 bottle yield.
Spirit was distilled at Lochranza in 2014 and matured ten years in a single ex Bourbon American oak cask. Bottled in 2025 at 57.8% without chill filtration and without added colour.
Ten years of ex Bourbon maturation produces well developed cask integration, with vanillin, whisky lactones and the toasted oak sugar layer fully integrated with the underlying Arran spirit signature. The 57.8% cask strength preserves the lipid fraction and textural weight, with the slight ABV difference from the 9 year sister cask reflecting natural variation in evaporation rates between casks of different vintages and storage positions.
