Description
Arette Anejo is a 100% agave tequila from Tequila Arette de Jalisco, the Orendain family brand made at the El Llano distillery, NOM 1109, in the Tequila and Amatitan valleys. The current master distillers are the fifth generation of an Orendain line that began producing tequila in the early 1900s, and the agave comes from the family's own volcanic valley fields.
The tequila is aged 18 months in American oak casks, longer than its reposado sibling, and bottled additive-free with no glycerol, caramel or oak extract. The nose is sweet and fruity, opening on vanilla with lemon and orange, while the palate stays soft and sweet with citrus, fine baking spice and a returning note of vanilla. A lowland house style softened and rounded by its time in American oak.
