Ardbeg 12 Years Old Batch 7 (That Boutique y Whisky Company)

Batch 7 of TBWC's Ardbeg programme, released in 2016 at 12 years old. By the seventh batch, TBWC had established its distinctive release format across multiple distilleries, with Emily Chappell's themed collage labels building a recognisable visual identity alongside the vatted multi cask profile. The 12 year age statement places this release within the modern Glenmorangie era stock from the early 2000s production years.

Bottled in 2016 at 12 years old, 52% ABV, non chill filtered with no added colour. The 12 year age statement is the minimum across the selected casks in the vatting, with TBWC's batched format typically combining multiple cask types and ages to deliver an integrated profile.

Twelve years of American oak maturation across the selected vatting casks builds early mid age expression. Cis and trans oak lactones (coconut, oiled wood) build at moderate concentration, hemicellulose furans deliver emerging caramel and almond, and lignin vanillin and syringaldehyde layer vanilla and baking spice. The modern Glenmorangie spec peat phenols (guaiacol, syringol, 4 methylguaiacol, p cresol) carry at full intensity across the vatted blend, delivering classic Ardbeg phenolic smoke.
