Appleton Signature is the entry point to Jamaica's largest and most familiar estate, a blend of pot and column still rum aged in ex-bourbon oak. Appleton sits at the smooth, mainstream end of the island's spectrum rather than chasing the intense esters of the funkier houses, so this is built for easy drinking and mixing rather than slow study.

The pot still component lends a hint of Jamaican character, a light fruity lift behind soft honey, orange peel, vanilla and gentle wood spice. It stays dry and fairly thin at 40%, with a slightly woody, spiced finish, and is unsweetened.
