Andrea Da Ponte Golden Rive Distilled Gin

From the same Conegliano grappa house that has worked the Venetian hills since 1892, Golden Rive Distilled Gin is the more secretive of the pair. Around a core of juniper, coriander and angelica sit ingredients the distillery keeps to itself, all run through traditional copper stills until the spirit comes out crystal clear and finely balanced, its wine-country roots quietly evident in the fruit.

The nose is citrus and juniper, clean and direct. The palate softens into Glera grape and ripe pear with a floral, chamomile note threading through, and the finish runs long and even. Pour it into a classic G&T, or stir it into a Martini where its orchard-fruit edge can show.
