Description
Rùdhan is part of anCnoc's peated range, a travel retail release bottled in 2016. Knockdhu distillery, near Huntly in Banffshire, sells its malt as anCnoc to keep it distinct from Knockando.
Knockdhu reopened under Inver House in 1989 and now and then distils a peated spirit. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the oak's vanilla sits under a gentle peat smoke.
Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanilla as peat phenols lend the smoke. The recorded notes run to fresh fruit, smoke, vanilla, a fragrant lift and a malt extract note. A peated travel retail anCnoc.
