Description
This Peter Arkle edition was made for travel retail, part of anCnoc's series with packaging by the New York-based Scottish illustrator. Bottled in 2012 for the duty-free shelf, an outturn of 6,000 bottles. Knockdhu distillery, at Knock in Banffshire, is named anCnoc since Knockando was too close a name.
Whisky has flowed again here since 1989. Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, the oak adds vanilla and a soft sweetness over the fresh fruit.
Bottled at 46%. The ex-Bourbon gives vanillin for vanilla and oak lactones for coconut, with maltol for toffee over the fresh, fruity malt. An illustrated travel retail anCnoc.
