Description
The 24 Years Old is among the older core anCnoc releases, the single malt of Knockdhu distillery in Banffshire. Named anCnoc, Gaelic for the hill, so it would not be mistaken for Knockando, it comes from one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, founded in 1894.
It has run under Inver House since 1989. Across twenty-four years in ex-Bourbon, the oak builds a waxy, honeyed depth with vanilla and soft spice.
Bottled at 46%. Vanillin from the ex-Bourbon reads as vanilla, oak lactones as coconut, maltol as toffee. Expect citrus, dried fruit, chocolate, vanilla, honey and a malt extract note. A rounded older anCnoc.
