Description
Aha Toro Blanco is a 100% agave tequila from the Hacienda El Olvido near the small village of Jesus Maria in Jalisco, where the brand has been distilled for close to a century. The name traces back to a real bull, toro in Spanish, and the agave comes from highland fields in the Los Altos plateau.
Production follows the older path, with the cooked agave crushed by a stone tahona wheel rather than a modern mill, which leaves a rounder, more textural mouthfeel. Bottled unaged at 40%, it keeps the agave front and centre: a soft, supple body carrying grass, pepper, olive oil and a mineral honey note, all set against a firm run of roasted agave. A highland tequila that leans savoury and structured rather than sweet.
