Agwa de Bolivia is a herbal liqueur made in the Netherlands from Bolivian coca leaf, blended with a mix of 37 natural herbs and botanicals including green tea, ginseng and guarana, and bottled at 30%. The coca leaves are shipped from Bolivia under strict supervision and the cocaine content is extracted before they are used, leaving the leaf flavour and the bright green colour as its signature, with the producer noting it as the only liqueur made from the coca plant.

The nose is fresh with lemon and lime, the palate floral and bittersweet with menthol and citrus, finishing long and herbal. Behind the bar that fresh, bittersweet, lightly minty character makes it a vivid green modifier, adding herbal lift and citrus to a drink, and the producer suggests its coca leaf note shows best alongside lime or lemon. Pour it cold as a shot, build it long over ice with citrus and soda, or use it for colour and a herbal edge in fresh, sharp serves. Best served well chilled.
