Distilled at Aberfeldy and matured 15 years before a Red Wine cask finish, bottled at the distillery in 2024 at 46% under Batch 2924/B in the Wine Cask Series for the European specialist trade. The 2024 release marks the formal rebrand of the Cask Batch wine programme from the previous Limited Edition designation to the dedicated 'Wine Cask Series' label, alongside an elevation in bottling strength to 46% from the prior 43% standard. The /B sibling from the 2024 paired release, alongside the 18 year /A variant.

Long fermentation Aberfeldy wash from the four still configuration, distilled under John Dewar & Sons (Bacardi) ownership. Initial American oak ageing for the bulk of the 15 year maturation followed by transfer into Red Wine casks for the finishing stretch. Bottled at 46% with reduced chill filtering under the Wine Cask Series house specification.

Red Wine cask finishing at the elevated 46% bottling strength keeps more ester volatility intact than the 43% format used in prior batches: Aberfeldy's house esters (ethyl laurate, ethyl myristate, heavier alcohols) hold a more pronounced heather honey and beeswax base, and the wine finish layer (condensed tannins, polymerised pigments, residual polysaccharides) reads against that fuller ester support rather than competing with a thinner base. American oak primary maturation provides the underlying vanillin, lactone and furanic structure.
