Ron Barcelo Organic is a Dominican rum from Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos under the Barcelo name, a column still molasses spirit bottled at a soft 37.5% and distilled from organically certified cane. Barcelo is one of the Dominican houses that tests effectively dry, and this organic expression leans on that honesty, with no sugar added after distillation.

The profile is gentle and clean, with cedar wood, cookie dough and a smooth sweetness on the nose, then cinnamon, dried apricot and young oak on the palate before a mild finish of wood and brown sugar. It is fuller bodied than its light strength suggests, and the absence of added sugar makes it more transparent than many softened rums in the category.
