2Brothers Ink Studio Old Dragon Premium Spiced Rum is a spiced rum from an independent bottler, built on a four year old molasses base blended across multiple origins and aged in ex-bourbon oak. As a spiced rum it sits on the flavoured, sweeter side of the category, but it is noted for a banana character that reads as natural and a profile with more depth than many spiced bottlings manage.

The ex-bourbon ageing and the spicing work together for a warm, dessert-leaning character. The nose leads on banana, caramel, cinnamon and tropical fruit, while the palate brings banana, caramel, cinnamon and dark chocolate, and the finish settles on chocolate and banana. At 40% it is soft and approachable, clearly a sweet spiced rum rather than a dry sipper, but a well-put-together one.
