Domenis 1898 Dombay Cherry Crema di Ciliegie is an Italian cream liqueur that folds the freshness and sweetness of cherries into a smooth dairy emulsion. Made by the Domenis 1898 distillery, it balances fruity cherry against a delicate creaminess, bottled at 17% as a cream liqueur rather than an aged spirit.

The nose is intense fresh cherry and juicy red fruit underlaid with vanilla and cream, the palate soft and full bodied with ripe cherry, delicate cream and a hint of almond that lends a marzipan nuance, closing creamy and long with fruity sweetness. Behind the bar it is a fruit and dessert ingredient, adding cherry flavour, dairy richness and sweetness: it works neat or on ice to show its creamy fruitiness, and lifts dessert cocktails such as a cherry white Russian. Serve it chilled so the cream comes through, and treat it as a dairy product once opened, keeping it refrigerated and using it within a few months.
