Kleiner Feigling Blueberry

Kleiner Feigling Blueberry is a fruit liqueur from Germany, made by Waldemar Behn as a blueberry variant of the well known Kleiner Feigling and bottled at a gentle 15%. It pairs the bright fruitiness of blueberries with a delicate note of fig, the signature of the parent range, so it reads as a fresh, sweet berry liqueur with a soft background sweetness. The low strength keeps it light and easy, which is much of its appeal as a party and mixing bottle rather than a heritage piece.

The nose is inviting blueberry with a gentle fig note, the palate fruity and sweet with intense blueberry rounded by light fig sweetness, finishing soft and sweet with a lingering blueberry freshness. Behind the bar it brings berry flavour, sweetness and colour, which makes it a quick base for a blueberry mule or a fruit punch and an easy lift for fruity cocktails. It also pairs with fruity desserts or a cheese platter. Serve it well chilled or over ice, or lengthen it for a refreshing fruit forward long drink.
