Marie Brizard Triple Sec N 1 is an orange liqueur from Marie Brizard, one of the long established French liqueur houses. It is built in the triple sec manner, distilling sweet and bitter orange peel into a clear, dry spirit rather than a sugary one, and bottled at 39%. That balance of sweet and bitter peel is the whole idea, giving aromatic orange depth without heavy sweetness, which keeps it in the call slot on a working back bar.

The nose is intense with sun ripened orange over fine floral and spicy notes, the palate full and harmonious with sweet and bitter orange in balance and subtle herbal nuance, closing long and smooth with citrus freshness. Behind the bar it works as a balancing agent as much as a flavour, its dry bittersweet edge tightening sour citrus while adding perfumed orange. It is a natural orange spine for a Margarita, a Cosmopolitan, a Sidecar or a White Lady, and stands in wherever a recipe simply calls for triple sec. Pour it chilled and neat as a digestif, or keep it on the cocktail station.
