Description
Los Muertos Blanco is a full flavoured lowland blanco made in Villa de Santiago de Tequila, in the Valles of Jalisco, from 100% agave by traditional methods. It carries the fruity, herbal signature expected of a good blanco, with the agave kept front and centre by bottling unaged at 41%.
Part of the agave is cooked in a traditional stone oven and part in a low pressure autoclave, a split that balances depth against cleanliness. After fermentation, master distiller Agustin distils on a pot still, which gives the spirit good viscosity and body. The nose shows cooked agave, fruit, citrus and a light herbal edge, while the palate runs cooked and sweet agave, fresh fruitiness, herbs and pepper with a satisfying weight before being brought to 41% drinking strength.
