Description
El Jimador Reposado is a 100% agave tequila and one of Mexico's biggest selling names, made by Brown-Forman's Casa Herradura operation in Jalisco. The name honours the jimadores, the field workers who harvest the agave with a coa, and the line runs in just two forms, Blanco and Reposado, with the reposado long among the country's best sellers.
The blanco base is rested three months in oak casks, which lifts the cooked agave with roasted oak and brown spice on the nose. The palate is soft and lightly sweet, with cooked agave, wood, vanilla, brown baking spice and a nutty edge, finishing smooth and gently sweet on a long oak note. Bottled at 38%, it is an approachable, oak rounded everyday reposado where the agave still reads under the wood.
