KAA DOS Tequila Reposado – mit Geschenkebox

KAA DOS Reposado is a 100% Blue Weber agave tequila in the reposado class, the rested expression of the Berlin based KAA DOS brand, presented in a green bottle. Reposado requires at least two months in oak, and what sets this one apart is the choice of cask rather than the usual ex-bourbon barrel.
The spirit is rested in selected former rum casks of oak, which steer it away from the standard vanilla and coconut of American whiskey wood toward a sweeter, warmer profile. The nose shows honey, dried apricot and roasted almond with a hint of molasses, vanilla and caramel from the wood, and a perceptible trace of rum carries through the palate, where the natural sweetness of the agave meets creamy vanilla and soft toast. The rum cask gives it a nutty, gently exotic complexity over the earthy agave core.
