Description

Cannagin comes from Terraplanet del Sur in Spain, where the makers built a distilled gin around an unusual centrepiece: hemp. Classic juniper, citrus fruits and selected herbs share the still with the earthy plant, and the careful balance keeps the result aromatically complex yet pleasantly mild. At 38% it is a softer, more approachable strength than most.

The nose carries fresh juniper spice over an earthy hemp note, with subtle citrus and fine herbs threaded through. The palate is soft and aromatic, mild juniper meeting fresh citrus and a quiet, grassy hemp tone, before a gentle finish closes with light spice and a whisper of sweetness. Pour it into a Mediterranean tonic with a curl of lemon zest, or chill it well and sip it neat to let the hemp and pine come forward.
