Made in Bavaria by Scheible Bräu & Spirituosen, Krater Noster builds its dry gin on classic juniper and then folds in herbs and spices gathered from the surrounding region. The distillers run their stills at high strength, pulling a clear, concentrated spirit before bottling it at 46.9% — a choice that keeps the flavours vivid rather than diluting them. The bottle earned Double Gold at the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The nose opens fresh, juniper leading with a flick of citrus and a soft herbal undertone. On the palate it is full-bodied and firm, spicy herbs woven through a mild lemon brightness, and the finish runs long and dry with a peppery fade. Pour it over a mild tonic water with a twist of lemon, or stir it into a Negroni where its backbone holds.
