Earthy roots and wild herbs set the tone, with juniper running clean and spicy through a wash of coriander and bright citrus. Distilled in small batches on soft Masurian spring water, it carries the cool, forested character of Poland’s lake country. Dry, floral and grounded.
Description
Masuria Roots Gin comes from the Wielkopolska distillery and takes its cue from the Masurian Lake District, a stretch of crystal water and dense forest in north-eastern Poland. Made in small batches on soft local spring water, it leans on regional roots, wild herbs and spices distilled by traditional methods, giving the gin an earthy depth that sets it apart from cleaner, citrus-led styles.
The nose is fresh and spicy, dominant juniper over damp roots, coriander, herbs and a flick of citrus. The palate is layered and supple, gentle herbal notes and spicy root warmth balanced by a thread of lemon, before a long, slightly dry finish of earth, spice and faint flowers. Build a Negroni, or serve with a floral tonic and a twist of lemon zest.
