Fresh citrus and soft floral notes play over juniper, with a light peppery snap running underneath. Named for Schrödinger’s famous thought experiment, this Heidelberg London Dry is made without additives and bottled at full strength. Complex, clean and a little playful.
Description
Schrödinger's Katzen is the work of HS Heidelberg Spirits, and it takes its name from the physicist's most famous riddle, the cat that is both alive and dead until you look. The gin has a similar knack for surprise: built on a traditional London Dry framework, handcrafted from juniper, citrus, spices and floral botanicals, yet bottled clean at 44% with nothing added but good ingredients.
The nose is fresh, citrus-forward with floral and spicy aromas weaving through. On the palate it turns complex, juniper and citrus in harmony with a gentle peppery note, while the finish carries a quiet sweetness and a last hint of spice. It makes a versatile G&T with a good tonic and a lemon twist, and stands up just as well as the backbone of a Negroni.
