Cool peppermint and menthol ride over juniper and bitter orange, sweet at the edges and faintly Alpine throughout. Distilled at the 400-year-old Kuenz family farm beneath the Lienz Dolomites and tinted a startling glacier blue, it carries the freshness of high East Tyrol. Long and pleasantly bitter on the close.

Description
Roter Turm takes its name from a striking peak in the Lienz Dolomites that looms over the Kuenz family's 400-year-old East Tyrolean farm. At that secluded altitude, the Kuenz Naturbrennerei distils a gin rooted in regional tradition, and the Alpine Ice expression dresses it in a glacier-blue that nods to the mountain snow and ice of its origins.
The nose is sweetish and spicy, with menthol, juniper and citrus; the palate turns elegant and faintly oily, juniper meeting cool peppermint and bitter orange. It finishes long and a touch bitter. Lovely neat over a single large cube, or built into a long drink where the menthol can stretch out.
