2B Hemp Styrian Gin

This Styrian gin is the work of two characters: Armin Breinl, a doctor, drinks developer and musician, and Wolfgang Thomann, a well-regarded gin producer. Together they fused the pale Styrian gin AEIJST with their 2B Hemp drink and, distinctively, real hemp powder, building a balanced bill around juniper, lavender, ginger, coriander, orange and lemon peel and cardamom. It took 'Best Austrian Contemporary Style Gin' at the 2021 World Gin Awards in London.

The nose is straightforward and inviting: juniper and hemp. The palate is mild and fruity, the green hemp note threading through without overwhelming, and the finish runs long on the palate. The hemp character gives it real cocktail presence, so build it into something bright and herbaceous, or pour a simple G&T and garnish with a twist of lemon.
