Magellan Iris Flavored Gin

Magellan Iris is a Maison Ferrand creation that earns its name twice over: iris roots not only colour the gin a bright, light blue but lend it a quiet floral undertone. Distilled in France from eleven botanicals and pure spring water, it threads juniper, coriander, clove, cardamom and cinnamon through that flower-and-citrus character, landing at a confident 44% that holds the aromatics together rather than letting them scatter.

The nose opens floral, orris root and lavender over fresh citrus and a spiced edge. The palate is smooth and layered, juniper and coriander meeting bright orange and a flick of pepper, while the finish draws out long with herbs and petals trailing behind. Its colour makes it a natural showpiece, so pour it over ice with tonic and a strip of lemon zest and watch the blue catch the light.
