Bareksten Botanical Gin

Bareksten is made at the OSS Craft Distillery in Norway, and it wears its landscape openly: dense forests where the summer sun never sets and winter never rises, conditions that the botanicals are gathered from and shaped by. The bill runs to Nordic spices, blueberries, lingonberries, elderflower, rhubarb and mint, most of it natural, organic and sourced close to home, and it is bottled at a sturdy 46%.

The nose is a cool rush of blueberry, cranberry and mint, with Nordic spice and elderflower behind. The palate is full and complex, berry fruit meeting warm spice, rhubarb and a minty lift, before a long finish where cooling mint and delicate herbs linger. Pour a G&T with a sprig of mint and a few cranberries, or let its berries carry a Gin Sour.
