This Verseau, or Aquarius, release comes from Famille Ricci, a French bottler known for its terroir-minded, art-led approach, here drawing on Trinidad as a single origin within an Island Blend framing. The Zodiac line ties each batch to a star sign, and this is a sixteen year old bottled at full cask strength.

Trinidad rum is typically clean and elegant, built on light-to-medium column distillate, and long ex-bourbon ageing should layer that with vanilla, toasted oak and dried fruit. At an assertive 63.6%, this is an undiluted, dry and intense expression made for experienced drinkers who want their rum at full power, rewarding a few drops of water to open it up.
