Red Cherry is a Mauritian rum made from molasses, a traditional-style rum rather than an agricole despite appearing among cane-juice bottlings in this group. It carries no age statement and limited production detail, so the character is best read from the glass.

The profile is woody and roasted rather than fruit-driven, with mocha, allspice and a caramelised edge on the nose, then young wood, coffee, vanilla and allspice across the palate, closing on mocha and a maple-like sweetness. It comes across as a soft, dessert-leaning molasses rum, the oak and coffee notes giving it some depth. Added sugar is not declared, so the sweetness is taken as it presents. At 40% it is gentle and approachable, an easy sipper or mixer for drinkers who enjoy roasted, coffee-and-cocoa rum flavours over green or briny ones.
