Neisson is a small family distillery in Martinique, long admired by enthusiasts and working from organic cane, and this Bio Foundations bottling finishes its spirit in mizunara, the prized Japanese oak more often seen in whisky. Pressed from fresh sugar-cane juice and bottled unsweetened in the AOC tradition, it keeps the estate's clean, expressive house style at its centre.

Distilled on a creole column, run low to preserve the green congeners, it stays balanced and approachable: rounded sugar-cane and a sweet, woody lift on the nose, then fresh cane, light fruit, coconut and a mild tannic spice across the palate, finishing oily and velvety with young wood. The mizunara adds a light tannic twist rather than overhauling the spirit. At a cask strength 51.2% it is characterful yet gentle, a measured introduction to mizunara-finished agricole for those who like Neisson's organic profiles.
