Kalembu Guavaberry Rum

Kalembu Guavaberry Rum is a flavoured Dominican spirit, a molasses-based rum infused with guavaberry, a fruit long used in Caribbean island liqueurs. At its low strength and with its fruit-led character, it sits firmly in the flavoured, sweetened category rather than among aged sipping rums, and is best judged on those terms.

The aroma is fruity with notes of tea, a vegetal edge and a touch of floral character, the palate simply fruity, and the finish fruity and sweet. It is a soft, easygoing drink with a clear sweetness, the sort of holiday-style bottling more at home as a gentle sipper over ice or a mixer than as a serious rum. At 30% it is light and undemanding.
