Samaroli is a historic Italian purist bottler known for elegant, balanced rums released at deliberately reduced proof. This Rhapsody is a blended Barbados expression, vintage 2006 and aged 15 years in ex-bourbon oak, bottled unsweetened at a measured 45%. Barbados trades on its balanced pot and column character, typically toffee, brown sugar, ripe banana, vanilla and soft baking spice over light-to-medium oak. Samaroli's continental ageing and gentle bottling strength tend to favour finesse and integration over power, so expect a refined, rounded and approachable Bajan rum where fifteen years of oak shows as polish rather than weight.
