Admiral‘s Cask Premium Rum

Admiral's Cask is a 5 year old Panamanian rum matured in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40%. Panama is a major source of soft, approachable molasses rum, much of it column distilled and shipped widely, and the regional character runs mellow and gently sweet.

At five years this is a younger expression, so expect a lighter, easygoing profile with the vanilla, light caramel and soft spice typical of Panama ron. The sugar status is not disclosed and rum at this end of the market often carries some dosage, so this reads as an accessible, everyday sipper or a base for mixing rather than a structured, dry rum.
