ReimonenQ Rhum blanc agricole (Collection Guillaume de Roany)

ReimonenQ is a Guadeloupe agricole distillery on Basse-Terre, and this Rhum Blanc Agricole comes from its Collection Guillaume de Roany, a single selection drawn from the distillery's ageing house, made from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses.

This is a livelier, funkier blanc than most, the nose carrying esters, overripe fruit and a clear vegetal funk alongside roasted-nut and corn notes. The palate is oily and well balanced with citrus and a peppery bite, and the finish turns dry and bitter with a touch of almond and sugarcane. At 50% it has the proof to carry that aromatic intensity while staying rounded and drinkable. A characterful, well-balanced cane-juice white for drinkers who like a bit of ester edge.
