Labourdonnais Fusion Spiced

Labourdonnais is a Mauritian estate working from fresh-pressed sugar cane juice on a column still. This Fusion Spiced is a flavoured rum at 37.5%, and it is sweetened, so it belongs squarely in the soft, aromatic camp rather than the dry cane-juice tradition.

Expect warming baking spice, vanilla and a clear sweetness rather than the grassy character of a neat agricole. As a sweetened spiced rum it sits at its easiest over ice or in cocktails where the spice and sugar can carry. An approachable, sweet flavoured rum, honest about what it is.
