Labourdonnais Infusion Gingembre-Ananas is a flavoured rum from the Labourdonnais estate in Mauritius, built on a base of fresh sugar-cane juice. Mauritius makes cane-juice rum in the agricole style, though it sits outside the French AOC, and Labourdonnais here infuses its spirit with ginger and pineapple.

Bottled at 35%, it reads soft and sweet rather than dry, so expect warming ginger and juicy pineapple to lead over the cane base. Serve it chilled or over ice, where the ginger note makes it a natural lift for long tropical drinks.
