This Ciguena Collection release from Meyer Baggers is a Barbados rum carrying a 1949 vintage, bottled unsweetened from Bajan molasses distillate. It is a rare, collector-oriented old-style bottling rather than a current production rum. Barbados rum traditionally lands balanced and rounded, a pot-and-column island style showing toffee, ripe banana, vanilla and soft baking spice, fruitier than Cuban and far less funky than Jamaican.
