Ron Siete Villas Añejado

Ron Siete Villas Anejado is a Spanish rum distilled on a column still from molasses and bottled at 40%. It sits in the soft, approachable Spanish style mould, a gentle everyday rum aimed at easy drinking rather than depth or intensity.

Column distillation keeps the spirit light, with plum, pear, sweetness and vanilla on the nose and a palate of plum, coconut and dates that some find pleasantly fruity. The finish is short, returning to pear and plum. Sugar is undeclared, though the style reads softly sweet. A couple of drinkers note an unidentifiable off note and feel it is dear for what it delivers, so expectations are best kept modest. As a mild, fruit led sipper at a low strength it serves well enough for casual occasions.
