Matured in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at a full 60% with no sweetening, it is dry, woody and intense: vanilla, coconut and a glue and varnish varnish note on the nose, then leather, oak and roasted intensity on the palate, finishing on leather, vanilla, lime and a bitter char. There is real concentration here, and at this strength the alcohol can read sharp until the rum is given plenty of time in the glass.
