Dzama Vieux Rhum

Dzama Vieux Rhum is a ten year old molasses based rhum from the Dzama distillery on Madagascar, bottled at 43%. Madagascar's rums sit a little apart from the Caribbean mainstream, and Dzama's aged expressions tend toward a soft, fruity and lightly aromatic style.

Matured in ex bourbon wood, it opens with red fruit, melon, vanilla and a confected sweetness, and the palate keeps that easy, fruit forward character with vanilla and a gentle oak frame.
