Arhumatic Poire Rôtie – Poivre (Piperata Pira)

Arhumatic Poire Rotie Poivre, also labelled Piperata Pira, is a French rum arrange built on a Guadeloupe cane-juice base infused with roasted pear and pepper. At 28% it belongs with liqueurs rather than dry sipping rums.

As a flavoured infusion it leans sweet, the orchard note of baked pear lifted by a warm peppery edge. Best served chilled or over ice as a dessert pour, or used to add a fruit-and-spice note to cocktails, rather than approached as a cane-forward agricole.
