Description

Neisson Le rhum par Neisson is a white rhum agricole from Neisson, a small family distillery founded in 1931 and a name long held in high regard by Martinique rum enthusiasts. Distilled from fresh-pressed sugar-cane juice rather than molasses and run low on a column still to keep the cane's vegetal character, it is bottled here in carafe form at a notably high 52.5%.

The recorded character fits the blanc style closely: fresh and grassy with clear sugar-cane sap and a peppery snap, dry rather than sweet. The elevated strength sharpens that freshness and makes it a forceful base for a Ti' Punch, the canonical agricole serve, with lime and cane syrup.
