Butterscotch, caramel and vanilla dominate nose and palate, exactly as the name promises, with a sweet, confectionery character throughout. At 40% it is soft and rounded, clearly a sweet flavoured rum rather than a dry sipper, and honesty is due: it reads as a dessert pour and is best treated as one.
