Rhum Influences No. 3 from Famille Ricci is a five year old blend of rum from Guatemala and Guyana, drawing on a John Dore pot still and bottled at 46%. It marries the soft Latin character of Guatemala with the more characterful Guyana distillate into an unsweetened, easy going crossover at a friendly price.

Matured in ex-bourbon casks, it offers caramel, vanilla and chocolate with a solvent edge on the nose, and the palate stays soft and sweetish with caramelised notes and spice, lifted by a menthol freshness through the finish over malt and wood. Certified unsweetened, its rounded, chocolatey feel comes from spirit and cask rather than dosage.
