Trois Rivières 1953

Trois Rivieres is a Martinique estate with roots stretching back to 1660 and over a century of rum behind its name, and this is a rare old vintage carrying a 1953 date. Made from fresh pressed sugar cane juice within the island's agricole tradition and bottled unsweetened at 45%, it represents a piece of the distillery's history that the market now prizes.

Distilled on a column still in the agricole style, it has mellowed into something fruit forward and balanced. The nose offers coconut, mango, orange peel and lime, the palate brings sugar cane, apricot, coconut and vanilla, and the finish lingers on apricot, coconut and dark berries.
