Rum-Bar Silver is Worthy Park's accessible white, an unaged pot still Jamaican bottled at a gentle 40% and unsweetened. Worthy Park is a single estate, 100% pot still distillery whose esters come from fermentation alone, so even its white sits on the cleaner side of the island's funk, making this a friendly first taste of the style.

Unaged and straight from the pot still, it shows light banana and pineapple with a grassy, vegetal edge and just a touch of glue and olive to mark its origin. The palate is mild and a little sweet, the finish dry with a slight bitter sharpness. It is gentler and more affordable than the iconic overproof whites, which makes it most at home in a daiquiri or other cocktail, where its fruit and ester notes carry through cleanly. Pleasant enough neat, but built to mix.
