Herman Jansen Canaoak Pure Blended Gold Rum is an eight year old island blend from the long established Dutch house Herman Jansen, made from molasses, aged in ex-bourbon casks and bottled at a gentle 40%. It sits in the soft, accessible style, aimed at easy drinking rather than intensity.

The nose is fruity and inviting, cherry and banana with citrus and caramel, and the palate leans on caramelised and red fruit notes, raspberry among them, though it turns a touch diluted as it develops. The finish is short and syrupy.
