Whisper Rum

Whisper is a modest, accessibly priced Barbados rum, aged 5 years in ex-bourbon oak and bottled at a gentle 40% without added sugar. Barbados is built on the classic pot and column blend, rich double-retort pot still married with cleaner Coffey column rum and oak aged, landing balanced and rounded between light Cuban and heavy Jamaican styles. In that house style expect toffee, brown sugar, ripe banana, vanilla and soft baking spice over light oak, here in a lighter, younger and easier register. At five years and 40% this is an uncomplicated everyday sipper or a clean base for a cocktail rather than a contemplative dram, an honest, dry introduction to the Bajan style.
